Description of Scope and Responsibility:

IPW performed as the prime contractor for the general construction, design build services, and specialized construction on the new Charlestown Landing Otter Habitat. Specialized construction included the Aquatic Life Support Systems and artificial rock formations. Performed design build services for life support systems, including automated filtration, ozone sterilization and ORP monitoring via smart relays and nano processors. Flow monitoring was performed with blue line digital flow meters. Total water volume 14,600 gallons, filtration consisted of three Pentair Aquatics high rate sand filters and three high efficiency Lifeguard Seahorse 3hp pumps. Ozone generator, orp probes and monitoring equipment provided by Ozone Water Systems and installed and maintained by IPW for a period of one year after substantial completion. IPW also provided onsite training and support for park staff during this period. Other work provided on this project was electrical, mechanical, metal roofing, barrier exhibit fencing and gates, landscaping, clearing and site preparation, tree and landscaping protection, structure demolition, drainage system, building facility to house otter inside, and the mechanics of the exhibit.
